Marketing Experience

In conjunction with his technical knowledge on PC hard- and software, he started his own business in the UK selling software on CD-ROM.
This experience consisted of setting up a company in the UK called "The National CD-ROM Company" establishing contacts and agreements with software suppliers and distributors in both Europe and the USA, designing advertisement and presentation material and contacts with potential buyers.
He has set-up a mail-order business, which consisted of being able to accept checks and credit card payments, shipping out product, receiving phone calls regarding sales, product related queries and technical queries. Setting up the administration to be able to receive orders, printing of delivery and invoice documents mailing and recorded delivery.
Also setting up agreements with the bank in regards to business accounts, credit facilities, payments to suppliers, advertisers import duty and vat.
Besides selling via mail order directly to end-consumer, his company established itself as sole trader between publisher in the USA and retail chains / distributors in both the UK and The Netherlands. Both company administration, open orders and product rights where sold to another company prior to leaving the UK.
